We are proud to be leading the search for an experienced Category Manager, on behalf of a business that’s home to some of the UK’s most iconic food brands.
The Role:
The successful candidate will take on an autonomous role managing the Tesco account. Reporting directly to the Category Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading supplier within a dynamic and competitive category.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving category development and delivering sustainable value and volume growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong connections with key contacts at Tesco, including Buyers and Category Planners, to support category growth.
- Create recommendations to optimise space and sales, ensuring alignment with growth opportunities and tracking share of shelf.
- Work closely with sales and account teams to provide valuable insights and support, and foster strong internal relationships for effective collaboration.
- Act as the key driver of category strategy, representing the retailer’s perspective to guide business decisions.
- Assist with commercial presentations and new product development within your categories.
- Keep category drivers current and ensure they are effectively used across all relevant teams.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong understanding of data tools, with the ability to accurately and quickly translate data into actionable insights.
- The ability to influence buyers and merchandisers through compelling data-driven stories.
- A commercially savvy individual who will understand the impact of category decisions on overall business performance.
