Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead
A Snapshot of Your Day The EHS lead ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, collaborating closely with the Head of EHS to develop and implement the EHS strategy, fostering a proactive EHS culture. The role involves identifying and addressing areas for continuous improvement, promoting health and safety awareness, educating employees, enforcing adherence to laws, and crafting policies to enhance workplace safety. The role is responsible for the business's compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, collaborating closely with all teams to craft and implement a robust safety culture.
How Youll Make an Impact
  • Ensuring the business fully adheres to all relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Working closely with the Head of EHS to implement projects to deliver the Environmental, Health & Safety strategy.
  • Engaging with employees at all levels to drive and embed a proactive health & safety culture through effective communication & coaching.
  • Guidance and support to managers & employees on regulation and risk mitigation on health, safety and environmental issues.
  • Performing regular inspections across the site, accurately reporting the findings.
  • Undertaking incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis and internal auditing.
What You Bring
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing/Engineering industry.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in health and safety
  • NEBOSH or IEMA Environmental Management Certificate (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations
  • In-depth Knowledge of REACH Regulations
  • In-depth Knowledge of PUWER Regulations
  • In-depth Knowledge of HAVs Regulations
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • This position necessitates specialised knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) systems and processes. It is imperative to competently lead business-wide initiatives and convey ideas and information pertaining to specialised topics clearly and concisely.
