We are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer to work across all Lincs Inspire venues and services, ensuring a safe environment and workplace without risk to health and wellbeing, for all staff, customers and visitors.

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordinate, support and advise the company on all aspects with regards to Health and Safety.
  • Review, update and implement comprehensive Health & Safety standards, policies and procedures, ensuring they are fully compliant with current regulations.
  • Work with the company’s Training Officer to coordinate the delivery or commissioning of training programmes that ensure all staff receive the appropriate health and safety training to enable them to safely carry out their duties.
  • Maintain and continuously improve accident and incident reporting systems and documentation, ensuring thorough investigations take place and recommended improvements are implemented.
  • Ensure that safety inspections and Audits are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly tested and reported, safety inspections, and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Undertake property Fire Risk Assessments are undertaken across Lincs Inspire facilities. The findings must be accurately documented and with recommendations presented that will be made available to operational management, property landlords and other organisations if required.
  • Assume the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead for Lincs Inspire Limited to offer advice and act as the designated point of contact for Operations Managers following any concerns about the safety and welfare of a child or a vulnerable adult at risk.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Minimum 3 years recent and relevant experience in a similar Health and Safety role.
  • Experience in handling of Health and Safety reviews, assessments and investigations.
  • Experience in formulating, implementing and revising Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Experience in delivering and commissioning Health and Safety training.
  • NEBOSH qualifications / COSHH trained / Member of institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) – or recognised equivalents
  • The ability to work flexibly including occasional evening, weekend and bank holiday requirements to meet the needs of the business which operates 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year.
