The Privacy & Integrity team is responsible for building consumer-facing privacy controls & settings as well as internal systems and processes to ensure compliance with key privacy regulations. We partner closely with other UX, Product, Engineering and Legal teams to deliver a cohesive privacy & integrity experience that delights and puts consumers in control of their privacy.
As UX Product Designer, User Trust & Integrity, you will work on some of the most interesting privacy & integrity challenges in the industry and set the direction for how users interact with privacy & integrity aspects of our platform. You will be responsible for leading and owning consumer-facing privacy controls & settings within Roku OS and Roku-owned experiences, as well as, Roku's Privacy Portal, helping to empower and educate consumers on Roku's privacy commitments.
For this role, we are looking for an experienced and detailed-oriented Product Designer with strong user empathy and design/UX skills to match. In this role, you will partner closely with team members across UX, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, and other Product teams within the organization.
This position will be located at our office in Cambridge, UK and will report to the UX Manager, Advertising Experiences.
Design and build consumer-facing products that millions of people use every week.
Own UX and strategy for how Roku surfaces privacy/integrity concepts & ad controls to our users, aligning user and business needs with regulatory requirements.
Own and drive evolution of the Roku Privacy Portal User Experience.
Help drive overall consumer privacy vision for Roku.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and other Design & UX teams across Roku.
Work closely with internal Legal & Trust Engineering teams to understand & implement legal and security requirements and translate guidance to Product & Engineering teams.
Advise other stakeholders on privacy concepts and privacy-by-design principles.
Demonstrate a solid background as a Product Designer with hands-on experience contributing to successfully launched products across mobile, web, or TV. Ability to excel in ambiguous environments, thriving amidst uncertainty, and enthusiastically embracing opportunities for rapid design iteration.
~ Exhibit a genuine passion for innovation and a keen ability to tackle complex problems with creative and effective solutions.
~ Possess hands-on experience collaborating with User Researchers, or alternatively, conducting User Research yourself, and adeptly leveraging the insights gained from such research to shape and inform your design decisions.
~3+ years of experience in UX, exemplifying the capacity to work autonomously within a product team.
~ Display an unwavering empathy for the user, showcasing a deep understanding of their needs, motivations, and aspirations throughout the design process.
