Job purpose This position exists to take a lead in developing and implementing critical operations to ensure that our supply chains are set up and run at the right quality level, with optimised capacity, have capability aligned with New Product Introduction and are underpinned by good cost control. Working closely with our external manufacturing & logistics partners you will ensure the flow of supply to secure stock availability and efficient inventory levels, Once established you will be responsible for the management and continuous improvement of these systems & processes aligned with the evolution of IQ Endoscopes as we grow to become a commercial organisation and into high-volume manufacture.
Together, with our UK Manufacturing Lead, you will collate pricing information, have the ability to negotiate on pricing for components for different volume break points and run analyses to ensure that the company understands and is controlling its position on product COGs at all times.
Lead the Production Planning & Scheduling for IQE to manage production schedules with external manufacturing partners, including making recommendations to the rest of the team in terms of stock optimization.
· Establish the IQE’s Supply Chain in the UK from Manufacture to Warehousing to Customer Sales.
· Responsible for Demand planning working cross-functionally to identify key constraints and develop plans to mitigate these.
· Develop and implement practices to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of strategic initiatives in production planning and materials management.
· Responsible for implementing Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes to assure sufficient product supply to support changing demand.
· Provide support to internal NPI projects in particular supplier management (sourcing and maintaining relationships), inventory management for prototypes and pre-production and assist in design transfer processes to CMOs.
· Leverage existing, and implement new, systems and processes to improve end to end supply chain efficiencies.
· Recommend plans and strategies for continuous improvement in operations and procedures to meet both short and long-term needs and to resolve problems.
· Oversee Materials Management for internal production of products to ensure accuracy in inventory.
· Support all projects involving forecasting

Person Specification Experience and qualifications Essential · 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations and/or demand planning
· Proven experience in inventory and demand management
· Experience of defining and establishing a demand planning process
· Track record of success in supply chain planning and logistics.
· Knowledge of forecasting and replenishment methodologies
· Experience of managing an operational end to end supply chain
· Experience of working with different supply chain functions
Experience of establishing an operational end to end supply chain.
· Experience of change management and continual improvement.
Proven ability to conduct complex and quantitative analyses complimented with qualitative inputs from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
· Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
· Good commercial awareness
· Flexible with working hours to meet the demands of the company.
· Detailed in analyses with ability to explain key data and actions when sharing with others.
