Typical shift as a bank Housing Concierge

  • South Lakes Next Steps Accommodation Programme.
  • There is so much more involved than just (night working), stuck in an office monitoring CCTV or patrolling the premises.
  • The first line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network arent around to help
  • Youll manage the health and safety of the building, patrolling to check fire doors, making sure everything is locked and secure.
  • Thinking on your feet and manage a situation on the spot, such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when we need to engage the emergency services.
  • Finally, if there is time, youll also help us make sure that everything is clean and tidy, so you need to be ok with wielding the mop or broom as well

You bring

  • Calm under pressure with great communication skills
  • You get a kick out of supporting the most vulnerable in society (maybe youve worked in public service, or the military). You know whats required to look after the public and our customers too.
  • Youre sociable and interested in people and their stories and like getting to know people. You use your people insights and keen eye for detail to spot changes in behaviour.
  • You recognise when things are about to go wrong and are confident intervening in a sensitive way.
  • A team player with the confidence to work alone. Dont worry youll have the full back up of our wider team including our out of hours emergency support team.
  • If you are a real people person and are confident working in different services, locations, and teams, then this is the job for you.

Youll join our wider services in North Westregion, and the great thing is you can pick up shifts in any of these services that need it Our team are all super passionate about what we do Were a supportive bunch.

  • Flexible working hours
  • Were looking for you to work across South Lakes region which include our services in Kendal.
  • Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans / doing mandatory learning / keeping in touch with colleagues.
  • Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
