PSR Solutions are currently working with a Tier 1 Contractor on a variety of M&E Rail projects in the South East.

The responsibilities for this role:
  1. The Estimator is responsible for ensuring that the estimated cost of a project is prepared correctly to company standard consistently.
  2. Knowledge of construction methods and all circumstances affecting project execution in the rail M&E role based in Kent.
  3. Ensure tender documents, addendums, client correspondence, etc., are logged on the server and relevant team members are issued with copies.
  4. Produce sub-contractor enquiry schedule, obtaining suggestions/feedback from the tender team, procurement department preferred/approved contractor schedules.
  5. Issue sub-contract enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules, as applicable.
  6. Issue materials enquiries when needed.

The experience you'll need for this role:

  1. Experience within M&E in construction, preferably in the rail sector.
  2. Strong analytical and numeracy skills to accurately evaluate detailed specifications, cost, and risk.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and self-driven individuals are preferred.
  4. Great attention to detail.
  5. Detailed knowledge of the latest processes, materials, and costs.
  6. Familiarity with Conquest/Causeway/Coins or similar estimating software.
