The BFI is looking for two Environmental Sustainability Partners to join their Sustainability team; one Industry and one Corporate.
Environmental Sustainability Partner (Corporate) – Fixed Term until March 2026
Environmental Sustainability Partner (Industry) – Fixed Term for 12 months
These are subject to possible extension on securing further funding.
Industry (Fixed-term contract – 12 months)This role will deliver industry-facing activity and support. This includes acting as fund manager for the BFI National Lottery Sustainable Screen fund, maintaining relationships with awardees BAFTA Albert and Julie’s Bicycle. They will also deliver industry-wide initiatives to support a green transition, as outlined by the mandate in Screen Culture 2033 .
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Good working knowledge of the case for climate change mitigation and adaptation, and an ability to communicate this effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability challenges, solutions, initiatives, and opportunities in the cultural and creative industries. This might include low-carbon technologies, energy efficiencies, circularity, upskilling or any other relevant areas.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering sustainability initiatives and change within the culture and creative industries.
This role will help enable the BFI to deliver on our commitments on environmental sustainability across the BFI’s own activity and estates, as set out in our ten year strategy, Screen Culture 2033 .
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability in the cultural and creative industries.
- Good working knowledge of the case for climate change mitigation and adaptation, and an ability to communicate this effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Detailed knowledge of carbon management, low-carbon technologies, renewable energy and energy efficiencies.
Both roles report to the Head of Environmental Sustainability and will work to deliver the ambitions of the BFI Environmental Sustainability Strategy (2024-27).
