Job Description
Owing to continued demand and ourambitious plans for growth, Turner & Townsend are looking to recruit Estimators and Senior Estimators with provenexperience across the Infrastructure ( Rail, Airports, Highways,Power, Water or Utilities ) sector. Opportunities are availablein our London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester offices.
Estimators at Turner & Townsend make the difference for ourclients by supporting them as an embedded resource within theirorganisation or through ad-hoc pieces of work for multiple clientsacross the Infrastructure sector as part of the Turner & TownsendEstimating Hub. Although our work is predominantly for UK-basedclients, as workload requires, our Estimators have the opportunity towork remotely (from the UK) on estimating tasks for our clients acrossthe globe.
Our team deliver a wide range of Estimatingoutputs for our clients, to support their decision making, including:
- Estimate Production (from Order of Magnitude estimatesthrough to detailed estimates built up from first principles)
- Estimating Support to MajorProgramme Set up
As an Estimatorat Turner & Townsend you will be responsible for:
- Productionof accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects ina timely and efficient manner.
- Control and management ofthe estimating process at project level;
- Production ofestimates without management or supervision;
- Supportingdevelopment and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner &Townsend;
- Assisting in the achievement of departmentalobjectives;
- Staying abreast of developments within owntechnical area of expertise to be able to give best practice advice inline with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Qualified to high standard in Estimating or QuantitySurveying with proven relevant experience
- Relevantsuccessful experience of provision of estimating and/or QS services ina large project environment;
- Previous experience of workingwith estimating software packages;
- Membership of a relevantprofessional body with chartered status or working towards
- Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB /A. Cost E.
