The main duties of the Lead Children Complex CareNurse role include:
Provide expert advice forchildren's care under the direction of the Head of Clinical.
Deliver complex care visits in the home environment asneeded.
Support the development of children's services in partnershipwith cross-functional teams.
Ensure service users are centralto care delivery, prioritizing their needs.
Undertake andadvise on care planning activities and risk assessments.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of clients and serviceusers, adhering to regulatory standards and compliance with clinicalgovernance.
Holds afull driving license and is willing to travel to meet servicerequirements.
Registered with the Nursing and MidwiferyCouncil (NMC).
Possesses a minimum of three years'post-registration experience as a registered children's nurse.
Experienced in paediatric complex care.
Cannulation, phlebotomy, and complex infusiontherapy experience
Proficiency with syringe drivers andcomplex medicine management
Familiarity with central venousaccess and PEG/gastrostomy care
Experience with TPN, PICCs,tracheostomy care, ventilation, stoma care, and paediatricsafeguarding
Evidence of professionaldevelopment and computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of rare diseases, along withsupervisory or management experience, and mentorship/trainingqualifications
