We at CDM Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a leading provider of mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering in the North East. The company specialise in providing high-quality M&E services across various sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, and healthcare.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of M&E projects from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The M&E Operations/Contracts Manager will play a key role in liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Manage and oversee multiple M&E projects concurrently, ranging in size and complexity.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Procure subcontractors and suppliers as necessary, and manage subcontractor relationships to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure successful project delivery.
Prepare and submit progress reports, change orders, and other project documentation as required.
Proven experience in managing M&E contracts/projects within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building codes, and regulations.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Strong leadership abilities, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
