Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our telecommunications business. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance within the telecom industry. The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and strategic financial planning.

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP and company policies.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Manage and coordinate audits, both internal and external, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Monitor and ensure compliance with telecommunications regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and optimise financial performance.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.

BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role within the telecommunications industry.
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements specific to the telecom sector.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Experience with telecom-specific financial systems and software.
Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and telecommunications regulatory compliance.
MA in Finance or Accounting.
