Operating for over 150 years, our unique structure as an Employee Benefit Trust ensures all colleagues share in the success of the business and preserves local, long term employment for all. *About the role of Sales Consultant P&H at JT Dove:* We have an exciting opening for an ambitious, motivated individual to join the sales team at our Stockton branch.

  • The main duties for this role include:*
  • Selling the full range of products to both retail and trade customers.
  • Work towards set sales targets.
  • Monitoring results and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Interpreting customer needs accurately.
  • Responding quickly and efficiently to customer enquiries.
  • Ensuring accurate pricing of orders.
  • Managing accounts and stock on a day-to-day basis
  • Contributing to the success of the branch.
  • Developing ongoing working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • Providing excellent customer service at all times within a fast-moving environment
  • The ideal candidate will have:*
  • Previous customer service and/or sales experience, ideally from a merchant background
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of plumbing and heating products
  • Proven track record selling and negotiating, both in person and over the phone
  • An interest in developing a career in a busy sales environment
  • Real passion to deliver excellent customer service, both in person and over the phone
  • Natural drive for achieving targets
  • The ability to be resilient and adaptable with the ability to juggle changing priorities

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 07.30am to 5.00pm plus alternate Saturdays 08.00am to 12.00pm.
