About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.

Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Jacobs are seeking a Process Improvement and Assurance Lead and in this role you will ensure that all the functions and delivery teams operating within Project Controls and the deliverables produced are subject to the appropriate assurance model. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Leadership and potential line management of the Project Controls Quality, Assurance and Improvement Functions
  • Establishment of a Project Controls Quality, Assurance and Improvement Framework
  • On-time close out of all assurance findings within Project Controls
  • Lead on the development and roll out of awareness and practitioner training for the Project Controls functions
  • Development of functional training plans to support continued professional development

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering or project management
  • Active membership of AACE, PMI, APM or similar association with association certifications
  • Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC
  • Background of implementing project controls procedures, processes, and systems on large and complex infrastructure projects
  • Experience of working within any of the Project Controls Functions of cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management and risk management
  • Detailed understanding of earned value analysis
  • Deliverables focused and an accomplished problem solver
