Procurement Officer

We have partnered with a leading food manufacturer that is urgently looking for a Buyer to join their site based in the Oxfordshire area on a 12-month FTC.
You will manage their indirect spend (OPEX and Capex), looking for both short term opportunities through spot buy reduction and long-term opportunities through strategic sourcing activity.
Build and maintain supplier relationships with the objective of reducing costs and eliminating inefficiencies throughout the Procurement Cycle.
Represent the sourcing department in the indirect spend area for both technical and non-technical spend, advocating procurement and sourcing, and demonstrating added value for the business.
Manage the tender process and negotiate with local suppliers to ensure optimum price, quality and service levels.
A tertiary qualification in engineering, supply chain, procurement or equivalent will be desirable.
At least 3 to 5 years Indirect or Technical Buying experience managing Opex, MRO or Capex categories.
26 leave days + 8 bank holidays
~ Hybrid remote working (2 days in the office)
