Job Description:

They are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining their infrastructure solutions, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of software through CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.

- Monitor and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including VMware, AWS, and Azure environments.

- Collaborate with development teams to streamline and enhance the software delivery process.

- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure.

- Automate operational processes and enhance deployment strategies.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.

- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure system performance and availability.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in DevOps and infrastructure management.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and practices for cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Expertise in managing and monitoring VMware environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
  • Proficiency in Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Azure, AWS, or VMware.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with additional configuration management tools.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of infrastructure.

£450-600 per day

6 month rolling contract

Based in Chorley (Lancashire) 3 days per week
