Are you a skilled Patent Attorney with a passion for Mechanical Engineering and a desire to work with a leading Intellectual Property (IP) firm? Our esteemed client is seeking a talented individual to join its dynamic team as a Patent Attorney specialising in Mechanical Engineering.

About the firm:

Our client is a top-tier IP firm renowned for its excellence in providing legal services related to intellectual property. With a commitment to innovation, a global presence, and a collaborative work environment, it offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated Patent Attorney to contribute to its success.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, prosecuting and managing patent applications related to Mechanical Engineering
  • Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses
  • Collaborating with inventors and stakeholders to understand technical innovations and facilitate the patent process
  • Providing strategic advice on intellectual property matters to clients

Requirements:

  • NQ-5 years' PQE
  • Technical specialisation in Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated expertise in areas such as fluid mechanics, electromechanical systems, robotics, control systems, materials engineering and manufacturing
  • Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience working in a reputable IP firm
  • Registration with the USPTO or equivalent patent office
