Renewable Natural Gas, RNG, is a key technology in the transition to net zero. It is an established and proven low carbon technology with thousands of facilities globally, taking manures, agricultural & industrial wastes and by-products and using bacteria to convert this into biomethane and an organic fertiliser. VTTI has already invested over $100m into RNG projects in the Netherlands and the UK with our first two plants due to come online later in 2024. With development offices across Europe, VTTI has a pipeline of projects that will lead to a further investment in excess of $500m as it continues to build its portfolio of RNG assets.

Maintenance Engineering Lead M/F/X

As the Glentham Engineering Lead you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of our the Glentham Green Energy (GGE) RNG plant in Lincolnshire, commissioning this summer. As we expand and construct more sites you may occasionally need to support other sites (travel and expenses paid).

The role will be the first line engineering support for the site, planning and carrying out day to day reactive and proactive maintenance activities, managing specialist maintenance contractors as well as planning larger outages, both planned and reactive. Responsible for the maintenance of Glentham Green Energy (GGE) RNG site
Role model safety behaviors, Coach and develop the local site operations team
Manage holidays and plant operations cover
Comply with all relevant legislation, Create and maintain a culture of compliance, excellence and efficiency at GGE and other sites
Working with peers across the UK and Europe to share best practices, Managing relationships with key maintenance service providers
Manage sub-contractors who provide some asset management support
Ensuring GGE is performing to and exceeding the business case
Leading the planning and preparation for major overhauls and maintenance events
Supporting the development and project teams providing operational input into the design and build process

You have strong engineering background, preferably multi-skilled.
Proactive approach to safety and compliance, ensuring that good safety management improves operational performance
Able to work collaboratively with the development and project teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction into operation
