We are currently seeking to appoint a Junior Quality Officer on a Full-time, permanent basis.
To support the work of the Quality Unit related to academic quality assurance, academic regulation and policy development and to provide support for academic governance.
Maintaining a register of academic policies incorporating a review cycle. Initiating and contributing to the review, drafting and development of academic policies in accordance with the review cycle.
Providing high-level support for the Quality Unit in the operation of quality assurance processes.
Making a significant contribution to review and enhancement of the Schools quality assurance processes which will include independent information gathering from internal and external sources, preparation of reports and input to quality enhancement projects as may be established from time to time.
Regularly auditing / health checking compliance with policies and procedures.
Organising a range of training events, meetings and conferences, involving internal and external contacts.
Ensuring all the relevant Quality Assurance documentation is kept updated and correctly archived at all times.
Participate in training activities both in School and at external locations in respect of Continuing Professional Development (CPD);
Adhere to general standards of conduct embodied in School policies and procedures (e.g. health and safety, equality and diversity, etc.);
Work flexibly and efficiently, maintain the highest professional standards and promote and implement the policies of the School;
All members of staff are expected to manage and develop their role and responsibilities so as to focus on improving the School services to student and other clients. Travel to other sites of the School
It is expected that holiday entitlement should be taken at times convenient to the curriculum offer.
The post holder must respect the confidentiality of data stored electronically and by other means in line with the Data Protection Act 2018.
All members of staff are required to be professional, co-operative and flexible in line with the needs of the post, Department and School.
Degree or relevant professional qualification at graduate level
Experience of quality assurance and enhancement in a Higher Education establishment.
Strong communication skills both orally and in writing
Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and time management skills
