This role will allow you to work within a dynamic, forward thinking and established nursing team. We see a wide range of children and young people with a variety of different medical and surgical conditions which will provide fantastic learning opportunities.


We offer a very supportive and welcoming team and will ensure you receive all the training on induction to enable you to carry out the role safely ensuring excellent standards of care.
We provide a holistic suite of services for babies, children and young people to enable them to receive the highest quality of care at the right time, delivered by the right staff and in the location where best suits their needs, in partnership with parents, carers and other multi-disciplinary team members.


Successful candidates will join our friendly, supportive teams led by Supervisory Senior Sisters / Service Managers / Team Leaders and be part of a nursing skill mix reflective of the acuity of the patient group.


The Trust has a 12 month Preceptorship program for newly qualified staff and a local robust development program for experienced staff which will provide you with support and guidance, regular staff engagement, feedback sessions and a supportive team ethos.

The post holder is expected to provide relevant forms of care without direct supervision and participate in the supervision and teaching of untrained staff.


To play an active part in the continuing development of the ward or department and actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment conducive to the delivery of high standards of patient care by promoting good communication and relationships between staff, patients, relatives and visitors.
NMC registration nurse


oIf newly registered has had experience within an acute care setting (as a nursing student or within first year as new entrant to the profession).
oHas held RN for greater than 1 year and has had experience within an acute care setting
oStandard keyboard skills and knowledge of a number of IT packages such as Word, PAS, and E-rostering etc.
