Field Service Engineer (Electrical Controls & Instrumentation) - Explosion Protection
Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer (Electrical Controls & Instrumentation) - Explosion Protection position.

Work on varied industrial sites, predominantly around the UK and Ireland.
To complete Electrical, Control and Instrumentation site-based inspections, and perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on installed systems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and offering timely solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and acting as a reliable service engineer.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of service visits, technical issues, resolutions, and customer interactions.
Travel to customer sites as required, often on short notice, to perform maintenance and repairs. Flexibility in travel schedule is essential.
Adhere to the Fike SHEQ & regulatory regimes.

Run own diary and customer base, including travel and accommodation arrangements to suit.
Willingness to travel frequently and work independently in various customer environments.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Ability to work emergency cover at short notice and be on an emergency call rota.
Able to work professionally without supervision.
HNC (or equivalent experience) qualification in a suitable engineering discipline, ideally with a focus on Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
Proficient in using Windows, Gmail, Word, Excel.
Multi-skilled background – electrical, mechanical, controls & instrumentation.
Valid driving license – preferably clean.

Proven track record of field maintenance experience – preferably the industrial sector.
Ability to use Salesforce.
IPAF Certificate.
