Job Role

Are you looking to make a difference every day? Are you passionate about healthy lifestyles and educating others?

As a Healthy Lifestyles Project Officer, you will work within a small team to deliver a range of health and wellbeing projects, including our award winning healthy eating and cooking projects.

Ideally, you will have experience in delivering training to small groups in the community and have a passion to help and make a difference to people’s lives. You must be confident, with excellent interpersonal skills and understand the barriers facing people from disadvantaged communities. You must be comfortable with working out in the community, travelling between locations in Sandwell and managing your own workload.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering 2 hour long cooking sessions to groups of people in the community
  • To provide healthy eating advice and guidance
  • To promote upcoming courses within the local community and recruit participants to the sessions
  • Collate case studies and good news stories
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed to funder requirements
