Airband are looking for a Telecoms Infrastructure Engineer to join our team covering the Central region. You will be responsible for ensuring our wireless infrastructure and fibre cabinet equipment within your area are fully maintained and operating at full potential.

• Competitive Basic Salary £31,000 to £34,000

•Company vehicle, with the option of personal use and fuel card. (Role Dependent)

More about the Role:

Reporting to Network Delivery Manager you will be responsible for ensuring our wireless infrastructure and fibre cabinet equipment within your area are fully maintained and operating at full potential. This varied role will include installs, monitoring, servicing & repairing Airband’s FWA network & associated fibre cabinet equipment. You will be setting the best example possible in terms of Ethos and work standards, whilst maintaining high levels of quality in Installing & maintaining a reliable FWA & fibre network and keeping network at highest availability possible.

How will you day look:

  • Predominantly working on our wireless infrastructure which includes a variety of mast/tower structures to install/service radio equipment
  • As Infrastructure engineer, you will enjoy working in a varied environment.
  • You will be out on the road traveling to sites throughout your dedicated area, delivering a high level of installation, servicing, and repair work to our wireless infrastructure
  • Working with microwave radio links – building/landing/panning and configuring
  • Installing and configuring Airbands FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) network of Access points (5 GHz)
  • Installing and building cabinets/compounds that house the wireless/network hardware
  • Fibre infrastructure in cabinets such as switches/routers/OLT installing and commissioning
  • Site cabling – Cat 5/6 and coax as well as fibre patching
