Job Description
The Green Recruitment Company have been exclusively engaged by a UK leading developer, owner, operator of Renewable Energy Assets in the UK – to support in their continued growth across the UK.
In addition the existing portfolio, the business has an affluent project pipeline to develop & construct ≤15 further assets. Each project valuing circa £25m.
The Business comprises of a high pedigree of renewable energy professionals, however in-keeping with their ambitions seek an astute & experienced Communications & Engagement specialist to join the business.
Role Responsibilities
- Community engagement lead in support of project planning & development of renewable energy pipeline. Particular focus on opposition resolution if/as required.
- Act as the main press contact and media liaison for the company, responding to press inquiries in a timely manner as spokesperson, and setting up interviews with relevant decision makers in the business.
- Take ownership & create engaging press releases, articles, newsletters, marketing materials on related developments, projects & partnerships.
- Lead on the development & implementation of the Company's multi-media communications strategy.
- Plan and manage design for internal/external marketing materials.
- Develop & design communication strategies for stakeholders, NGO’s, Local Governments, Landowners, policy makers & build customer recognition.
- Work collaboratively to instigate new ideas & strategies, in order to remain current & forward thinking.
- Build relationships at all levels with Stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Degree educated – strong preference towards Communications, Journalism, Public Relations.
- Demonstrated experience leading on community engagement linked to infrastructure development projects (Highly preferred)
- Demonstrated experience working within a similar role, within Renewable Energy, Bioenergy, Energy from Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, Sustainability, Circular Economy Waste Management, Largescale Processing, Manufacturing or Renewable Energy Infra (A Must).
- Verbal/written communication skills; Outstanding
- Exp. creating targeted content
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Previous experience working in events (desirable)
