Cognizant is seeking an individual to lead the Banking and Financial Services Strategic Business Unit within the United Kingdom and Ireland. BFS is the largest and most strategic vertical sectors for Cognizant, this role will be directly reporting to the UK&I Country Manager and the Head of Banking and Financial Services for EMEA & APAC-J and will be responsible for executing strategy across Banking & Financial Service s in UK&I .
Our UK&I Banking & Financial Services Practice is the largest in both revenue and headcount throughout the EMEA business .
We are seeking a professional with e xpertise and experience in leading a multi-million dollar practice in BFS with demostrable experience of delivering digital technologies and business consulting .
A deep industry knowledge in one or more of Retail Banking, Commercial Banking , Capital Markets , Card and Payment services or other Financial Services is critical.
A strong network of existing CxO clients in these industries will enable the successful candidate to leverage Cognizant to drive client digital agendas. These services may include defining digital strategy, framing business transformation initiatives, re-design of functions and delivering the underlying technology solutions and platforms. Finally, a recognised people leader is required to develop a strong leadership pipeline and our community of excellent BFS associates .
A critical part of the Cognizant EMEA business strategy this role will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity to grow an already sizeable business.
Lead s annual Business Planning cycles setting ambitions, targets and budget s
Lead s and develop s a profitable and growing business, including account plans and owning the sales process
Directly enables sales and supports d eliver y of major Cognizant projects with far reaching impact
Curates a client network for Cognizant in Banking and Financial Services in UK&I
Able to clearly articulate the technological landscape of Banks and Financial institutions and the relevant trends that impact how they are changing for clients
Establishes effective and influential internal network within Cognizant to effectively sell or deliver
Recruits and develops senior and critical SME talent and builds a leader ship pipeline
Manage s and grow s a team of client focussed business consultants delivering regular consulting projects with an eye for quality and consistency in deliver ables
Strong domain knowledge and commercial acumen with in Banking or Financial Services and with experience of key technological trends in payments, open/ digital banking and others .
Strong personal network and reputation in these key markets and CxO clients, preferably within the big 6 BFS Organisations UKI ( Natwest Group, Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, Santander UK and/or Standard Chartered)
Knowledge of UK / European Banking regulatory landscape and business models is a strong plus
Expertise and deep industry knowledge in areas like digital wealth management, trade finance, payments, lending, treasury, risk or finance transformation
Experience of building & managing top performing teams with high achievement of TCV and other sales targets
Drives an innovative culture of talented professionals, and an ecosystem of business and technology firms, to providesolutions and partner with clients across risk and regulation, business transformation and finance transformation as well as enabling digital and fintech innovation.
Significant exposure to leading consulting and technology projects in these industries is critical
The ability to discuss technology enabled business transformation - Visualizing and designing solutions based on customer business goals, new business models and disruptive digital technologies
Excellent Team Player who actively supports peers
