Job Description

Allen & York are working with an established family business in the Transport, Environmental and Waste Management Solution sector, collaborating with some of the UK's leading energy and water utility suppliers. They provide services to both commercial and domestic customers across the West Midlands and the UK.

This role is to champion and lead the delivery of the strategic agenda for health and safety across our organisation. You will play a pivotal role in developing the safety and environmental culture, contributing to the company mission.

A key aspect of the role will be to provide technical knowledge, expertise, and advice on all aspects of health and safety best practice. You will be:

  1. A strategic planner with exceptional leadership and influencing skills.
  2. Practical, with the ability to roll up your sleeves and support the team in the field as required.

Reporting to the Group H&S Manager, this role will act as a key advisor to the business, retaining critical insight into day-to-day functions while communicating openly with management for continuous improvement across all functions.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates should be experienced in Health & Safety Management, ideally within the transport or utility sector, working across multi-functional sites and individual workers on site. Candidates should be:

  1. Qualified to GradIOSH (CertIOSH).
  2. In possession of their own transport.
  3. Flexible in their approach to the needs of the business.
