University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to a recruit a qualified audiologists to work with the paediatric audiology team.
Audiology at Derby and Burton Hospitals benefits from using state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to offer a wide range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services for children of all age 0-19 years including children with complex needs in South Derbyshire and Staffordshire. We are also committed to providing high quality training and education for audiologists and trainees. We actively encourage continuing professional development and as a band 5 paediatric audiologists you will have the opportunity for further training and development.
Applicants should have a minimum of a BSc (Hons) in Audiology or equivalent, have excellent oral and written communications skills and possess good IT skills. Experience of working with children would be advantageous.

Perform a range of routine audiological procedures including otoscopy, pure tone audiometry (including assisting Visual Reinforcement Audiometry), tympanometry, probe microphone measurements, and aural rehabilitation.
Maintains records in relation to audiological activities carried out.
Supervises and/or trains less experienced staff in own audiology. Person Specification Education, Training and Qualifications and CPD Requirements Essential
- BSs (Hons) Audiology or equivalent
- Registered as one of the following, or in the process of registering: oRCCP as a Clinical Physiologist, oHCPC as a Hearing Aid Dispenser, o HCPC as a Clinical Scientist, oAHCS as a Healthcare Scientist
- IT literate with good knowledge of Auditbase and Smart4Hearing patient management systems
- Excellent communication skills
