Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant
Contract Type: Long term

Leader Education are recruiting an immediately available Learning Support Assistant to work at a large SEND school based in Peterlee. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, be able to communicate effectively, as well as having experience working in a transferable role i.e. health care or nursery practitioner. The school has ages ranging from 2 - 19-year-old with a diverse range of special educational needs. They pride themselves on being a warm and welcoming academy, that helps to secure the best possible outcomes for their students.

With their last Ofsted rating having a range of outstanding and good with an overall 'good' rating, they have significantly improved over the years to create a vibrant, enjoyable, and inclusive space for children.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4.30pm and is a long-term position, given a successful trial.

A good knowledge on EHCP's.
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
The ability to support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.Leader Education can offer:
