Pay rate: £500 - £550 per day via Umbrella

Our client, a leading organisation in the utilities industry, is seeking a Business Change Lead to join their team for a temporary contract of 6 months. As the Business Change Lead, you will play a vital role in planning and managing the business readiness activities for our client's SCADA project. This project aims to transition their current transmission control systems and ways of working to a new technology platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an effective business change team to ensure minimal business disruption during and following deployment.
  • Maintain a comprehensive business change impact assessment based on the current solution design proposals.
  • Develop stakeholder analysis and management plans to ensure effective engagement.
  • Execute business stakeholder & user communications activities.
  • Define, schedule, and deliver user and support team training activities, including logistics and content production.
  • Update and/or write business operating procedures to reflect new ways of working.
  • Set out an actionable benefit realisation plan, including targets and measurement mechanisms.
  • Establish and lead business readiness forums, including measurement of business readiness and making recommendations for the go/no-go decision.
  • Build effective relationships with change and transformation leads from other concurrent projects and programmes.
  • Identify, report, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Provide progress reports to programme governance forums, escalating on a timely basis to maintain quality and delivery to plan.
  • Support user deployment planning and management.
  • Contribute to the development of business-facing post go-live support arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in managing complex business change, training, communication, and process development work in a technology-led programme environment.
  • Previous experience in utilities or a similar industry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP replacement projects and migrations is desirable.
  • Proficiency in both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Jira is useful.
  • Qualifications from the Institute of Change Managers or similar organisations preferred.
