JOB TITLE: Product Technologist Location: Greater London
Are you passionate about product safety, quality, and ensuring that items used by families every day meet the highest standards? My client, a well-established supplier of products across the UK and Europe, is looking for a talented Quality & Compliance professional to join their growing team.

You’ll work closely with design and manufacturing partners, and internal teams to ensure products are safe, compliant, well-engineered, and ready for market.

Oversee product safety, quality, and compliance for all items distributed, with a focus on plastics, printed products, and some textiles.
Ensure all products meet UK and EU regulatory requirements.
Determine and manage testing requirements; conduct risk assessments; Review artworks and packaging to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Monitor in-market product performance and lead timely investigations and corrective actions where required.
Manage product safety reporting, analysis, and continuous quality improvement processes.
Introduce and enhance quality assurance tools throughout the product design and development process.
Oversee inspection standards across factories, ensuring consistency and alignment with company quality expectations.
Maintain and continuously develop the company’s quality manual in line with regulatory updates and customer requirements.
Collaborate closely with design teams and have hands-on involvement across multiple licensed product projects.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar quality, product safety, or compliance role within consumer goods.
A practical, detail-focused manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and can juggle multiple projects.
A natural problem-solver with a proactive approach to improving systems, processes, and product performance.
Engineering knowledge or experience is beneficial in understanding product design and manufacturing risks.
