Technical Sales Representative

We are seeking an exceptional, dynamic, and ambitious technical sales representative to join our commercial team to promote our products to new and existing customers. To excel in this role, you will be required to establish a great rapport with current customers as well as acquire new clients. An outstanding technical sales representative should have comprehensive knowledge about the company's products, as well as those of competitors, and be able to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
TasksListed below are the major responsibilities of the role and a brief description of some of the key tasks to be performed.
- Determining the customer's technical requirements and recommending the most suitable products
- Rendering complex technical knowledge easily understandable for customers
- Following up with clients and resolving any arising issues
- Regularly informing clients on new technical products
- Ensuring that sales goals are regularly attained
- Updating records of communications with customers and their contact details
- Informing management of sales performance
- Drawing together reports and proposals for technical items
- A bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related discipline
- A minimum of two years of experience in sales (ideally to Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive suppliers) or marketing
- Strongly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Top-notch presentation abilities and a professional appearance
- The capacity to identify and pursue leads
- Outstanding abilities in closing sales and selling products
- Expertise in sales promotion strategies
- The ability to travel widely and a valid driver's licence
- Technical expertise and a thorough knowledge of how the company's products function
