If so, our client wants you on their team We're seeking talented individuals to join this IT Infrastructure team, responsible for managing the high availability of our IT infrastructure and associated operational services. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting, optimising, and developing our infrastructure, with a strong focus on cyber capabilities.

About the Role -

Ensure seamless integration, delivery, and operation of infrastructure services. Review system designs, ensuring appropriate technology selection and efficient resource utilisation. Design and implement secure solutions with embedded security controls to mitigate cyber threats. Collaborate with third-party infrastructure service providers. Maintain dependable and highly available IT infrastructure and networking. Troubleshoot problems, prioritize issues, assess impact, and document resolutions. Analyse complex technical problems and propose effective solutions.

Communicate complex technical issues and risks to non-technical stakeholders. Enhance the security of new and existing infrastructure to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. Contribute to policy development, guidance, and governance forums. Participate in problem-solving discussions and identify best-fit solutions.

Support business continuity planning, disaster recovery management, and risk assessment.

Stay ahead of the curve on the latest cyber security developments.

Responsibilities

Qualifications - Microsoft Certified. Significant expertise in PowerShell and scripting. Significant expertise in Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft platforms, including Intune, Microsoft Exchange Online, Office 365 support technologies, and Azure Active Directory. Strong experience configuring anti-malware, intrusion detection, firewalls, vulnerability scanning systems, and network security. Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service and hybrid infrastructure, including planning, configuration, optimization, and deployment. Extensive experience in patching, monitoring, and infrastructure change management for business continuity.

Required Skills

  • Microsoft Certified.

  • Experience with SQL Server and always-on availability groups.
  • Experience configuring office telecommunications.
  • Strong VMware vSphere skills and experience in a large, complex infrastructure environment.
  • Microsoft Azure certification.

Day rate £500 - £550 Inside IR35
