The Role: As Head of Modern Foreign Languages, you will lead and manage our dynamic MFL department, overseeing the delivery of high-quality French and Spanish language education. Leading a team of dedicated MFL teachers, providing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities to ensure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning.
Developing a challenging and engaging MFL curriculum that meets the needs of all students and promotes a love for languages.
Monitoring student progress and attainment within the MFL department, implementing interventions and strategies to support the achievement of academic targets.
Collaborating with colleagues across the school to promote cross-curricular links and enrich the language learning experience for students.
Playing an active role in the wider life of the school, contributing to extracurricular activities, events, and school initiatives.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant teaching qualification.
Significant experience teaching French and Spanish at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
A passion for languages and a commitment to promoting cultural understanding and appreciation.
