  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control systems and autonomous vehicle technologies, and apply this knowledge to enhance existing systems and propose innovative solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and develop specifications for control system projects, considering factors such as safety, reliability, real-time performance, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to control systems in autonomous vehicles, providing support during system integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing technical input to enhance system performance, maintainability, and scalability, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the design, development, and implementation of control systems for autonomous vehicles, with a strong understanding of perception, planning, and control algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB for control system development and simulation.
  • Good understanding of autonomous vehicle technologies, including perception sensors (lidar, radar, cameras), localization, mapping, and motion planning algorithms.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software frameworks used in autonomous vehicles, such as ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug control system issues in autonomous vehicles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
  • Proven ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations for autonomous vehicles, such as ISO 26262, SAE J3016, IEC61508, ISO13849 and NHTSA regulations.
  • Experience with digital networking protocols ideally CAN or Ethernet based systems.
