Purpose of Role

As the Performance Marketing Manager within the McLaren Global Marketing Team, you will play a vital role in driving the development of insights, technology, and innovation to enhance customer experiences through digital marketing. You will lead our Paid Media activity, SEO, and contribute to brand awareness and retargeting campaigns. You will be responsible for reporting on activity, and bringing insights to the Product, Sales, Regions and Marketing teams. Additionally, you will support the Global Digital Lead in transformation initiatives, while acting as a knowledge hub for best practices and fostering strong cross-functional relationships.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Drive the vision, strategy, and objectives in collaboration with the Global Digital Lead.
  • Identify opportunities and impacts to improve customer experiences and commercial success by understanding complex problems and working across teams.
  • Explore commercial opportunities utilising our database, in close collaboration with our CRM team.
  • Demonstrate expertise in performance marketing, both hands-on and managing agency relationships, with the ability to think strategically and execute operational campaign setups.
  • Possess a solid understanding of SEO and manage agency relationships accordingly.
  • Apply a data-driven mindset to develop effective campaigns that address customer needs and pain points.
  • Responsible for data, reporting and insights, working closely with our in-house Data Analyst. Management of the Adobe Analytics relationship
  • Provide regular reporting to the wider marketing and commercial team, including the setup of dashboards.
  • Establish and own an audience framework for paid media, leveraging customer data and collaborating closely with the Customer Experience team, set the strategy for Paid Media (Globally)
  • Collaborate with regional managers to ensure the global roadmap aligns with local nuances and target audiences.
  • Ensure timely, budget-conscious, and strategically aligned delivery of digital campaigns.
  • Foster strong relationships with agencies, ensuring their motivation, high performance, and value addition to our customers and business.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider marketing team to develop integrated plans and identify opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Extensive experience in performance marketing, preferably with agency experience and hands-on platform expertise.
  • Proficiency in SEO, including technical and on-page optimization, with experience collaborating with content teams.
  • Strong data and insights-driven approach to marketing.
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in MarTech and AI, enabling organizational efficiency.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Hands-on CRM platform expertise – Dynamics, Marketo would be advantageous but not essential.
