Jig and Fixtures Assembly Technician

£The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a Jig and Fixture Assembly Technician.

The Jig and Fixture Assembly Technician is responsible for constructing, assembling, and maintaining jigs, fixtures and tooling used in manufacturing BIW processes. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision tools and equipment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of production fixtures.

Welding: Perform various welding techniques to a high standard, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding, to join metal components together securely and accurately.

* Utilise metal forming equipment such as presses, rollers, and brakes to shape and form sheet metal into jig and fixture components.

* Assembly: Quality Control: Inspect and commission fabricated components and assembled structures to ensure they meet quality specifications using measurement tooling and equipment.

Understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work with precision tools and equipment

* Knowledge of assembly techniques and methods for constructing jigs and fixtures with precision and efficiency

* Ability to problem solve and resolve issues or discrepancies during assembly to ensure optimal functionality

* Ability to maintain accurate records of assembly activities, adjustments, maintenance tasks, and repairs performed on jigs and fixtures

* Adherence to safety procedures while operating equipment and performing assembly tasks to maintain a safe working environment

* An understanding of industry and regulatory requirements such Quality System Regulations (IATF16949, ISO9001, 5S, TPM, KPI’s).
