As we continue to grow our R&D team, we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong technical leadership skills and practical expertise. In collaboration with the R&D Manager, you will play an integral role in the development of our engineering team.
You would be joining a small but growing team in the UK, with some exciting and innovative product development projects in progress, offering ample opportunities for immediate engagement and contribution.

Design solutions to meet technical, quality, time and cost requirements (SolidWorks CAD)
Undertake appropriate calculations and analysis to prove suitability of mechanical designs
Produce engineering detail drawings and other associated documentation at a high standard
Support the continuous development of departmental talent, processes and working practices

Qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience with post-qualification experience in a design / development engineering environment
Design for quality and manufacture understanding and practical experience, to ensure our products can be well made and meet our customers’ needs
CAD literate (ideally SolidWorks) with experience of using these in a practical work environment
Good understanding of geometric tolerances, tolerance analysis and other quality critical design principles
High degree of creative ability
Experience of EN81-40 or an equivalent elevator standard and its application to the design and verification process
Experience of leading an engineering team
