Escape Recruitment are supporting our client, a global manufacturing company, who are looking to hire a Health and Safety Manager . This position will predominantly be based in the Fife area, with occasional travel to their mainland Europe site.
Responsibilities:
- Transform the safety culture, increasing engagement and participation across all levels of the business.
- Understanding and practical experience of H&S legislation, translating standards into best practice policies and procedures.
- Carry out audits, evaluating health and safety procedures and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing new strategies.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root cause and taking the necessary steps to prevent recurrence.
- Work with managers and key business areas to update and create risk assessments, audit reviews, and continuous health and safety monitoring.
About You:
- Hold a recognised health and safety qualification (NEBOSH or similar).
- Experience within a manufacturing, production or process environment within a similar role.
- Leading from the front, demonstrable record of initiating safety improvements and supporting the workforce.
- Experience of analysis of onsite incidents and corrective and preventative action plans.
- Effective communicator with great attention to detail.
