QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE: Level 2 or Level 3 in a UK Recognised Childcare Qualification. Purple Dove recruitment is eager to find a Qualified Nursery Nurse Level 2 or Level 3 for a setting in Northwood, to start ASAP. The team is small and supportive with a good work ethic and an excellent track record for staff retention. Salary: From £11.50 to £12.50 per hour (Depending on qualifications and performance at interview) Hours: Full Time, Permanent, 40 hours a week, 7.30am to 6pm shift rotation. The Benefits: 20 Days Holiday allowance plus Bank Holidays. Open 51 weeks a year, closed one week between Christmas and New Year. Company pension. Continued support and training. Uniform provided. Ample car parking on site. Birthday off. The Role: To implement appropriate planned schemes of activities, work and programmes for Nursery children. To ensure that personal, physical, social, spiritual, emotional, cultural and moral needs are adequately addressed and to be actively involved in supporting children in their achievements of planned objectives and goals. To be responsible for the care, welfare, health, safety and security of children and implementation of safe working procedures and practices in accordance with Nursery policies. To help supervise Nursery activities and routines, giving specific help to individual children to ensure that they remain focussed. To prepare resources and materials needed for planned activities. Encourage the involvement of children and parents/carers in the curriculum and running of the Nursery in order to promote the child’s self-esteem. Undertake good and effective communications with all staff and parents/carers. To assist with the care and maintenance of furniture, toys, equipment and resources. To attend staff meetings, send reviews, meetings with parents/ carers as appropriate. To actively participate in Training Programmes, attending Professional Development activities as appropriate. To ensure that key children’s needs are met, assessments and observations are up to date; complete the formative/summative assessments in time. To participate in parent evenings. To encourage the involvement of children and parents/carers in the curriculum, festivals/celebrations and charity events. To leave the Nursery ready for the following session, ensuring that plans are ready to be implemented and resources are available. To maintain Health and Safety policies and the Safeguarding of the children. The Candidate: Level 2 or Level 3 in a recognised UK Childcare qualification. Able to work as an ambassador for the nursery. Minimum of 1 year's experience in a nursery setting. Extensive knowledge of the EYFS. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
