Job Title: Reconciliations Specialist Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00)
Salary: £26,000 and up to 20% bonus and benefits
Blackpool (one day a week in the office - first few weeks will be fully office based for initial training period)

Reporting to the Senior Reconciliations Manager, the Reconciliations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the reconciliation of savings and loan portfolio balances as well as the corresponding bank accounts. Led by our Senior Reconciliations Manager, the Payment and Reconciliations team are at the core of the Bank and are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely application of payments to customer accounts as well as ensuring that robust reconciliation is completed between customer accounts and our internal bank accounts dedicated to each of the products we offer.
Reconcile Loan Management System payment data with multiple bank accounts daily, including processing payments such as BACS, Cheques, Direct Debits, Card Payments and ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions
Identify discrepancies between data sets, the respective root causes and communicate with internal/external stakeholders’ necessary action to resolve
Adhere to Tandem’s internal policies and procedures
Keep up to date with all Company/regulatory changes particularly those which affect own business area
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Reference Functions)
Recent and proven experience of understanding savings/loan transactions and financial reconciliation against each savings / loan record and respective internal bank accounts
Proven organisational and planning skills with an ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks
