Influence Director Beauty Client Department: Influence Beauty Team Location: London Contact type: Initial 4-month fixed term contract Full Time/Part time: Full Time Reporting into: Client Partner About The Role WPP Onefluence is seeking a dynamic and trend-savvy Influencer Influence Director to join our team dedicated to a large beauty client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving successful influencer marketing campaigns that align with beauty client's brand objectives. The Influence Director is responsible for leading and evolving the brand's influencer and creator marketing strategy to elevate visibility, trust, and engagement within the beauty community. This role merges strategic leadership, creative storytelling, and deep industry insight to drive impactful collaborations with creators, makeup artists, skincare experts, and beauty enthusiasts across social platforms. As an Influence Director, you are a senior leader within our team, responsible for the overall strategic success and delivery of our most significant influencer programs. You will own key client relationships and projects end-to-end, making independent decisions and holding your team accountable to ensure senior leaders remain confident in our delivery. In this role, you will be expected to anticipate and resolve complex problems, manage up by bringing solutions, and develop systems that improve team efficiency. A critical part of your leadership will be to mentor junior colleagues, champion WPP's values, and encourage a culture of continuous improvement. You will be the central point of contact for senior clients and internal stakeholders, enabling cross-functional communication and ensuring the highest quality of work. Key Responsibilities Influencer Strategy & Leadership Develop and oversee the influencer marketing strategy for the brand, ensuring alignment with business goals, product launches, and cultural trends. Identify and segment key influencer tiers (macro, micro, and nano creators) to build a balanced, high-impact ecosystem. Lead and mentor a team of influencer marketing specialists and agency partners. Partnership & Relationship Management Build authentic, long-term relationships with beauty influencers, makeup artists, dermatologists, and content creators. Oversee influencer onboarding, content briefing, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation. Champion diversity and inclusion by engaging with creators across all backgrounds, skin tones, and beauty perspectives. Campaign Development & Execution Lead end-to-end influencer campaigns for new product launches, brand storytelling, and social activations. Collaborate with social, PR, creative, and e-commerce teams to amplify influencer content across digital and retail touchpoints. Stay ahead of beauty trends, viral moments, and social media innovations (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) to keep the brand culturally relevant. Performance & Analytics Define and track KPIs such as engagement rates, reach, conversions, organic, and ROI. Oversee data analysis and reporting to measure campaign effectiveness and optimize future initiatives. Manage influencer marketing budgets and ensure efficient use of resources. Brand Stewardship Serve as the internal voice of the beauty community, ensuring influencer content aligns with brand tone, aesthetics, and values. Anticipate and manage brand reputation risks associated with influencer partnerships. Collaborate with product development teams to gather influencer and community feedback that can inform innovation. Experience 7 years of experience in influencer marketing, digital marketing, or PR, with a focus on the beauty industry. Proven track record of leading successful influencer campaigns for major beauty, skincare, or wellness brands. Deep understanding of social media platforms, creator culture, and emerging beauty trends. Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong leadership and project management abilities; experience managing cross-functional teams and agencies Experience with influencer platforms (e.g., Traackr,). Familiarity with TikTok trends, YouTube beauty communities, and UGC strategies. Creative eye for content and understanding of what resonates with beauty consumers. Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making Success Metrics Growth in influencer-driven brand engagement and awareness. Increases in organic, social mentions, and organic product recommendations. Successful product launch performance supported by influencer collaborations. Enhanced brand perception and loyalty within the beauty community.
