About Us

Home-Start Renfrewshire and Inverclyde (HSRI) is a registered charity providing volunteer led, family centred,non-judgmental support to families with at least one child aged under five.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families
  • Introducing families to appropriatesupport
  • Matching and introducing volunteers tofamilies
  • Providing support, supervision and on-going training opportunities forvolunteers
  • Undertaking designated responsibilities to safeguard children’s welfare
  • Ensuringequality of opportunity, fairness, inclusion and diversity in all aspects of our work
  • Complying with thescheme’s administration, monitoring and financial systems
  • Ensuring appropriate liaison with referrersand other professionals
  • Contributing to and supporting the development of the Home-Startnetwork

About Aberlour Options Fife - Respite and Outreach

Options Fife Respite and Outreach provides a range of flexible support through outreach and overnight short breaks atweekends, evenings and school holidays to children and young people with complex learning disabilities andautism. We offer a high-quality child centred service providing positive and enabling experiences for the youngpeople, supporting them through the challenges and complexities that enable them to work towards theirindividual outcomes and personal goals. We work closely with families and other professionals in providingsupport tailored around the child’s plan.

What we are looking for....

We are looking to recruit two Young People’s Worker Nights, working four nights on (10 hours per night) every secondweek. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring that the young people you work with have the best possibleexperience in working towards their objectives in line with their care plan, supporting children to progresswithin their individual outcomes. Whilst not without its challenges and demands, this is a highly rewardingrole, where the work we do has a demonstrable impact on each young person's progress. Using a person-centredapproach, you will provide enabling support ensuring the highest level of physical, personal, and emotionalcare. We support young people who have epilepsy, need personal care and need gastrostomy feeding. Aberlour, inconjunction with NHS, provides all staff with training.

We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with young people with disabilities. It is desired butnot essential that candidates hold a relevant qualification at an SCQF level 7 or above. Due to SSSCrequirements you may be required to gain qualifications after starting with Aberlour.

Your new opportunity

Quarriers have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Head of Business Development & Grants to work in partnershipwith our Associate Directors and Operational Managers to identify opportunities and develop new and existingservices. You will manage and work closely with the Business Development & Grants team leading andimplementing development strategies to support growth and funding for the overall organisation. You will play akey part in liaising with internal and external stakeholders and overseeing tender and funding opportunitiesincluding submissions.

As the Head of Business Development & Grants you will closely monitor and track potential tender opportunitiesincluding managing a portfolio of grants and funding aligned with department income and expenditure againstbudget and set targeted income.

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday) in line with our agile working policy,which blends home-working with office time and service visits.

What you will need to bring to the role

  • Proven experience and understanding of implementing and managing business development strategies ideally withinthe social care/healthcare sector.
  • An understanding of social care/healthcare servicedesign.
  • Skills in managing risk and business development with an understanding of the Grant fundinglandscape and innovative practice.
  • Excellent IT knowledge and experience in using databasesystems.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience at a senior level in a complexorganisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skills to support strictdeadlines and work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience ofmanaging a team and delivering positive results.
  • Driving licence is essential

We have recently moved to the Gyle Shopping Centre which is giving us greater space to work within and access tovolunteers and baby items donations. This role will work closely with the other Baby Bank Development Worker toenable the service to open all weekdays, as currently it is only open Mon to Wed.

This post will also have a particular focus on; firstly, supporting the marketing of the charity, working withvolunteers to deliver regular posts on social media, and secondly, on supporting volunteering opportunitiesthrough working with third sector partners and corporate organisations.
