What You’ll Do:
- Hands-On Project Management: From day one, you’ll be immersed in flagship projects, taking on the role of a Design Manager for some of the most exciting schemes globally.
- Comprehensive Training: Benefit from one-on-one mentorship with seasoned design managers who will guide you through the transition, offering unparalleled insights and support.
- Client and Team Leadership: You’ll work closely with senior directors, managing everything from client relationships to programming, contracts, project finances, and the coordination of large consultant teams.
- Commercial Exposure: Manage projects valued between £75-£400+ million, developing a deep understanding of the commercial and strategic aspects of design management.
Ideal Candidate:
- Architectural Experience: Minimum of 2 years working as an Architect, Project Architect, or Senior Architect in a UK-based, design-led practice on large-scale projects over £50 million.
- Design/Project Management Knowledge: Some familiarity with the responsibilities of a Lead Consultant and experience with project documentation like design programming.
- Client Interaction & Leadership: Experience in leading design team meetings and managing external consultants, with the ability to develop project stage reports.
