XYZ Reality is a construction tech start-up based in London and is currently looking for a talented, passionate, and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer.

XYZ is on a path to revolutionise the construction industry with custom augmented reality hardware and innovative software. Our Team are highly motivated, professionally qualified engineers specialising in industrial and mechanical design, software, and electronic design and manufacture. The quality and innovativeness of the products we design are critical to our customers and our company.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that empower our development and operations teams. You will lead a talented DevOps team, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

· Lead efforts to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.

· Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.

· Implement automated testing and deployment strategies to ensure high-quality releases.

· Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive identification and resolution of issues.

· Lead incident response and resolution efforts, ensuring minimal downtime.

· Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain a secure infrastructure.

· Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.

· Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with development and operations goals.

· Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and configurations.

· Train and support team members on best practices and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· years of experience in a DevOps role, with proven leadership experience.

· Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

· Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

· Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

· Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

· Solid understanding of security best practices and tools.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
