Lead DevOps Engineer (suitable for a Senior moving into Lead).

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer, who can make their first move into Lead DevOps Engineering capacity.

We need someone who understands the fundamentals of Continuous Delivery. Who lists Continuous Delivery and the Phoenix Project as two of their favourite books. Your passions will be Automation, Containerisation, Cloud technology. You'll have read Continuous Delivery and have an extensive Home Network.

You will have been tinkering with technology from and young age, and you will have been playing with Containers before Docker was a thing (and probably DevOps, before it was DevOps). You'll be following the Kubernetes/Mesos/Docker Swarm battle with delight, you will understand multiple configuration management technologies, and you will have used Puppet and Chef and more recently Ansible.

This role will give you an opportunity to lead the global direction of the DevOps Engineering function at a leading global ecommerce company in London. You'll be managing a small team, as well as managing the majority of projects and will have responsibility for implementing process, proceedure and strategic direction.

It's an advanced technology stack with Containers, Orchestration technology, Config Mgt (Ansible), Cloud with AWS (potentially Lambda in future).
