Commercial Support Lead

The purpose of this role is to support the commercial team within the International Development function, manage inventory, daily stock movements, both fresh and frozen and stock turn to ensure optimum cash flow and help deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide detail as required to support credit notes, negotiations on logistic costs , support budget preparation and regular budget forecasting.
  • Coaching and supervision of commercial support team (2 FTEs)
  • Ensuring excellent customer service levels
  • Sales administration / support for frozen export, fresh wholesale, B2B and Co products: sales contract entry, pro-formas, coordinate supply chain delivery.
  • Stock management daily reports, helping to set stock targets
  • Assisting the International team in the delivery of KPIs (catchballs)
  • To develop supplier and customer relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Disclosure of week sold / unsold reports; follow up on slow moving skus.
  • Coordinate action plans with technical and regulatory teams on on hold stocks and on export certification issues.
  • Coordinating logistics issues within the team towards internal departments (transport, storage) and 3rd party providers.
  • Control sales contracts x existing stocks x future arisings => Guide export sales team on what is available to sell, oversold positions, slow moving stocks.
  • Support and participate in customer meetings.
  • Induction of new team members in the processes and procedures of the department.
  • Provide any required supporting data for audit purposes.
  • Work in close cooperation within the team, to develop best practices and new ways of working, including definition of new processes and procedures for the department.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Relevant academic qualifications/experience.
  • IT literate and ability to adapt to business processes and systems
  • Experience of dealing with customers.
  • Experience of dealing with end-to-end supply chain- cold chain.
  • Previous experience in export business.
  • Analytical profile with some experience in project management.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Confident in presenting to both internal and external parties.
  • Concise communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A can-do approach; gets the job done. High energy levels.
  • Able to function well in a team, driven and self motivated.
  • Highly organised, through account management ability. Able to prioritise.
  • Able to adapt and grow within a fast moving and proactive business.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Full driving licence.
