United Kingdom Splicedinc Full time

“Let’s redefine what a game is and how we interact with them. We want to make games that everyone wants to play and invite the whole world into ours. Together we’ll discover connection and innovation you’ve never experienced before and an amazing world you’ll never leave behind”.

We are Spliced Inc. and we’re looking for a Gameplay Cinematic Designer.

The Role:

This key role in our design team involves creating in-game cinematics and gameplay camera sequences to convey exciting action, gameplay flow and narrative storytelling across a varied selection of content. You will work with the game designers and other disciplines including animation, art and audio to collaborate in creating cinematic experiences that engage and amaze players within our worlds. This position also involves some video editing work - creating tight, polished and fun videos showcasing elements of the game for both an internal and external viewership.
The role has additional potential for expansion into work on cutscene cinematic animation, for candidates with the appropriate skill set and interests.
One of the amazing things about this role is the chance to get in at a relatively early stage on a new AAA game. There is a lot of scope for the game, world and team to grow further, and you can use your unique skill-set and abilities to have a meaningful influence on the look and feel of our cinematics.

About You:

  • You will be able to present an engaging showreel representing your most relevant and high-quality work.
  • Cinematography skills. You’ll have a good artistic eye for shot composition, lenses, camera angles and movement, and the technical know-how to realize this vision in Unreal.
  • Creative mind. You can tell a story. Come up with original ideas for what shots should look like and spark our imaginations.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine Sequencer.
  • Video editing skills in Adobe Premiere or similar.
  • Previous experience working on cinematics for games (in particular multiplayer titles) or film/TV would be a plus.
  • Experience working in Maya is also a bonus.

Why Spliced Inc?

We’re drawn to passion. We’re intrigued by who you are, not just what you do. We want you to feel at home and be excited to create the most career defining work of your life. Here at Spliced Inc, we care about all of this, and more.

Our benefits package is well thought out and you can expect to be rewarded and recognised for your hard work with components that include sign on bonus, stock (RSU’s), a well-being allowance, and generous pension and healthcare benefits to name but a few.
