A leading well-known tooling Manufacturer now requires a strategically focused Health and Safety Manager to join their Team.
The role will cover 3 Warehouses and assembly sites in Kettering, managing two HSE Co-ordinators and over 220 employees.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the company's ISO accreditations which include ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
Health and Safety Manager – Job Role:
As an effective Health and Safety Manager , you will perform a wide variety of duties requiring general knowledge of Company Policies, Systems, Activities, and their applications. You will be expected to meet the demands of each activity and ensure the efficient running of the department.
Strategic and Regulatory
- Develop and implement a sustainable Quality, Environment, Health & Safety strategy for the company.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory Regulations, advising the business on any impact of future legislation.
- Develop a risk register capturing operational risk and present to the Senior Team quarterly.
- Carry out Accident Investigations, including root cause analysis.
- Liaise with the Health & Safety Executive and report incidents.
- Establish working procedures for normal, abnormal, and emergency Environmental situations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality System.
- Lead a commitment to quality throughout the Company.
- Ensure adherence to all Company Policies, including Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety.
- Ensure effective risk mitigation and root cause analysis for accidents.
- Review and develop a Facilities and Maintenance program.
- Work with Finance to manage maintenance costs and capital expenditure.
- Implement a planned maintenance schedule.
- Implement a framework for supplier contracts.
Health and Safety Manager – Person Requirements:
- Hold a recognized Health and Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ, NVQ Level 5 or Equivalent.
- Ideally be a member of IOSH and Working towards CMIOSH.
- Managed integrated management systems for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 and internal Audits.
- Ideally come from a Warehousing and Logistics / Assembly / Manufacturing Background.
- Have a strategic focus on HSE.
