Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Manager

Working Hours: 40 hours a week day shift

Plastipack Ltd manufacture high quality performance materials to specialist fabricators. We operate as a niche manufacturer of sustainable floating solutions for the swimming pool, industrial and agricultural market. Supplying a global market, 90% of our materials are exported with the majority sold into mainland Europe.

We are searching for an innovative Maintenance Engineer Manager to join our team and ensure quality products are delivered on time. The Engineering Manager's responsibilities will include supervising a small team of mixed skills, maintain control processes, writing up reports, diagnosing and resolving problems with equipment, and providing training and general support to the engineering team.

Purpose of the Maintenance Engineer role:

To ensure the availability of operational assets through the successful delivery of a Total Productive Maintenance schedule and effective response to unplanned maintenance issues so that production downtime is kept to a minimum and health and safety standards are met.

To schedule and deliver against a planned preventative maintenance schedule to minimise chance of machine breakdown.
To repair or resolve machine issues in a timely manner to keep loss of production to a minimum.
To manage consignment stock and order necessary parts required for repair and maintenance of machines to ensure repairs are completed is the quickest time possible
To keep accurate records of all machine breakdowns. Produce reports for Engineering KPIs.
To assist in factory improvement and project work to ensure services and facilities are installed correctly.
To carry out necessary Facility work.
To host and ensure contractors are site inducted and have approved RAMS.Served a recognised apprenticeship and attained an appropriate electrical/mechanical qualification. (City and Guilds, NVQ level 3 mechanical engineering.)
Able to demonstrate success in maintaining and repairing Electrical and/or Mechanical equipment, preferably in extrusion / T-dies / rollers / chillers.
Flexible communication skills
PC Literate (Microsoft Office packages)
Ability to interpret drawings, manuals and technical literature to fault-find.
