The role

Sunamp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Manager to oversee all aspects of health, safety, and environmental practice and strategy. The successful candidate will have accumulated a track record of working with organizations to achieve excellence and exemplar HSE management and practice – underpinned by the need for continuous improvement. Within the role, you will work with the team and the wider company to develop and maintain outstanding levels of health, safety, and environment management to ensure full compliance with Sunamp’s moral, cultural, and legislative obligations. To fulfill this, the candidate will need to identify the existing health, safety, and environmental challenges to drive change. Having previously implemented change programs and delivered behavioral change, they will help create and support a culture that is conducive and supportive of health, safe, and environmental practices.

What you will need

A minimum of 5 years' experience within a similar role

Degree in Occupational Health & Safety/Environmental Management or NEBOSH Level 6 diploma or equivalent

Previous experience of working within a manufacturing engineering and electrical environment is desirable

Responsibilities
  1. Promote and harness a HSE culture and mindset
  2. Manage and maintain HSE management systems in accordance with the relevant ISO accreditations
  3. Play a key role in setting organizational HSE objectives and driving the strategy
  4. Implement H&S procedures and processes – from desktop to operational practice
  5. Support the organization with HSE training and guidance
  6. Compile HSE metrics and data to aid problem-solving and drive preventative actions
  7. Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and supplied to relevant 3rd parties where necessary
  8. Manage the audit calendars and support with any external and internal audits
  9. Deliver relevant training to members of the team
  10. Ensure systems are effective to meet legionella compliance
